Private sign-in

Google verifies that a visitor controls a real account. murpo does not request, store or display the Google account name, email address or profile photo. The site stores only a one-way, site-specific sign-in key that cannot be used to recover the Google identity.

Community information

Members choose an in-game name, server number, avatar and optional biography. Comments, questions and guides remain private until approved. Page views are anonymous daily aggregates. A random browser token that changes every day is stored only as a one-way hash to estimate daily unique browsers. Statistics never include IP addresses, account IDs, cookies, full referrer URLs or stored user-agent strings.

Your choices

Public profiles and server visibility are optional. A member can change these choices or ask the owner to delete the account. Account deletion removes the login key and player profile while approved discussion may remain attributed to Deleted player.

Optional email alerts

Email alerts are off until a member explicitly opts in. The address is sent directly to the separately configured delivery service and is never written to Murpo’s database. Murpo stores only an opaque subscriber reference, the selected alert topics and the consent time so preferences can be changed or removed.

Player profiles

Signed-in members provide an in-game name and server number. Public player profiles are optional and switched off by default. Showing a server publicly requires separate consent that can be withdrawn at any time. Login-provider profile names, provider photos, social connections and readable login email addresses are not stored in the member database.

Sign-in methods

Google, Discord and one-time email links can be connected to the same player profile. Murpo stores only one-way, site-specific keys. Magic-link addresses are used transiently for delivery, although the hosting mail service may retain normal delivery logs. Members cannot remove their final sign-in method.

Member convenience

Saved articles, saved guides and reading progress are tied only to the private site member ID. Uploaded avatars can be removed by the member or administrator. Account status, last login and moderation activity are available only to the site owner for safety. Deleting an account removes all private login keys and the profile while approved discussion may remain attributed to Deleted player.

Optional email alerts

Email alerts are off until a member explicitly opts in. The delivery address is sent directly to the separately configured relay and is never written to Murpo’s member database.

Giveaway winner stories

Entering a giveaway does not make a member's identity public. If a selected winner accepts a prize, they must explicitly agree to publish their in-game username, prize and winner statement on Murpo. Their provider identity, readable login email and player UID are never published. The player UID is encrypted for delivery and erased when the prize is marked fulfilled. Pre-v3 and privately recorded winners are not exposed retroactively. If a member account is deleted, the public username is anonymised.
