The biggest update to the game besides Season 2 is finally arriving. The Core 35 update I previously informed players about is here.

This update brings many additions: champion level increases, new buildings to upgrade, four deployable flagships at once, custom ship names, new research trees and more.


The update will initially arrive on beta servers 1001–1016. Based on past rollouts, it should reach global servers shortly after.

We don't yet know exactly how old a server must be to receive the update, but if your server has already received Gungnir, it's likely old enough to get Core 35.


Energy Core Level 35

Currently the game allows players to upgrade to Core 30. With this update, players will be able to upgrade all buildings from 30 to 35.


To upgrade beyond level 30 you'll need to unlock the new Epoch of Fusion Seed research tree and farm Fusion Seeds. Fusion Seeds are a new resource required to upgrade buildings past level 30.

That means players who have been stockpiling conventional resources will not gain an automatic advantage for post-30 upgrades, since everyone must acquire Fusion Seeds from the start.


Five new buildings

Kinetic Centre

Improves Kinetic combat craft and flagship stats.


Beam Centre

Improves Beam combat craft and flagship stats.


Ion Centre

Improves Ion combat craft and flagship stats.


Fusion Seed Refinery

Produces the new resource, Fusion Seeds. Upgrading this building increases production speed and storage capacity. I recommend prioritising upgrades here: Fusion Seeds will be important for progression beyond level 30.


Fusion Reactor

Details on this building are limited. It may be related to powering the refinery, but we'll know more when the update fully launches.


Four new research trees

Epoch of Fusion Seed

This tree must be unlocked from within the combat craft research progression; it's unclear whether that requires completing the tree or reaching a specific milestone. The Epoch of Fusion Seed unlocks the Fusion Seed Refinery so you can produce the Fusion Seed resource required for post-30 upgrades.

Ion Mastery Tree


These three additional mastery trees will also become available after meeting a milestone in the combat craft tree. We don't yet know the exact milestones, benefits or costs for those trees. It is likely the new Fusion Seed resource will be involved in their upgrades.


Flagship and champion level increases

Raising your Energy Core will allow you to upgrade flagships beyond level 30 and champions beyond level 150. The exact new caps and required resources (for example, apple costs) have not been announced yet.


Four flagships can now be deployed
